LE BOEUF SUR LE TOIT – MILHAUD, MOZART AND SPRING
There’s an ox on the roof! Milhaud’s rollicking score was such a hit that the iconic nightclub opened in Paris soon after its premiere, taking “Le Bœuf sur le Toit” as its name. Renowned French maestro Ludovic Morlot leads this jovial programme by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO). Mozart’s sublime union of the flute and the harp stars Jin Ta (SSO Principal Flute, Stephen Riady Chair) and Gulnara Mashurova (SSO Principal Harp). The programme closes with Schumann’s jubilant tribute to spring.
