To mark International Music Day, Alliance Française de Singapour and Collectif KOA present Peemaï, a boundary-pushing ensemble at the crossroads of jazz, world music, and electronic experimentation.
Drawing inspiration from the traditional sounds of Southeast Asia — from Laos to Indonesia — and infused with the energy of contemporary urban cultures, Peemaï offers a bold and original musical experience. Blending hypnotic rhythms, reinvented traditional melodies, and refined improvisation, the band’s performances are both vibrant and immersive.
With a unique soundscape shaped by jazz, rock, and ethnic grooves, each concert by Peemaï is an invitation to explore new musical territories — dynamic, joyful, and deeply engaging.
