During lockdown, Le French Design by VIA is encouraging the design ecosystem to exchange, reflect and anticipate in a positive spirit. In a weekly short series, Le French Design proposes spontaneous interviews with personalities from all around the world to share simple and accessible ideas for making our homes cosier. On June 1st, industrial designer Nathan Young from Singapore and Tomas Diez, Director at FAB LAB Barcelona, were asked what key piece of furniture they thought was essential of having during the lockdown:

Nathan Young was the special guest of last year’s exhibition “NO TASTE FOR BAD TASTE” presented by Le French Design at National Design Centre as part of Voilah! France Singapore Festival 2019. The exhibition curated by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac shared the very best of French Design: the forty pieces exhibited have been carefully selected to represent the last ten years of French design production, and showcase works by Philippe Starck, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Ronan et Erwan Bouroullec, matali crasset, Mathieu Lehanneur, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Christian Liaigre and Jean Nouvel, in a poetic scenography.
