TERRA By Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot

Terra invites us on a journey to our beginnings – tracing the natural history of mankind and of our existence on Earth. It looks back on our unique journey as a species, as we evolve and emerge from the many phases of time. Terra examines the remarkable characteristics of various life-forms and compels us to re ect on our relationship to other living creatures as humanity becomes more isolated from Nature.

How did Man become aware of the world around him, and how has this vision and consciousness evolved over thousands of years? How do we now wish to interact with the other species around us? These are just some of the questions Terra plants within us. Through uncovering answers to these questions, we will perhaps understand the decisive role of Nature and Man in human history, and how we can still change the course of events to come.
