Only Light Has No Shadow
DESCRIPTION
This debut exhibition of artist Ziad Dalloul in Singapore will feature paintings from the past five years and archival materials, which together trace his artistic evolution through philosophical inquiry into nature and existence.
Born in Syria in 1953 and based in Paris since 1984, Dalloul’s works are part of major international collections, including the British Museum, Institut du Monde Arabe, and Fondazione Orestiadi.
His paintings explore the spaces between interior and exterior, presence and absence. Through masterful light and colour, Dalloul’s works evoke a “third place” beyond the real and the imagined, where possibility quietly unfolds.
