Quatuor Elmire
DESCRIPTION
Founded in 2017, Elmire Quartet has, after only a few years of existence, already made its mark in France and on the international scene.
Comprising four Paris-based musicians – David Petrlik and Yoan Brakha on violins, Hortense Fourrier on viola and Rémi Carlon on cello – Quatuor Elmire has already worked with some of the greatest quartettists, including members of the Modigliani and Ébène Quartets. Laureates of several competitions, Quatuor Elmire became in 2023 artist in residence at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium.
On tour in Asia, and notably invited to perform in Tokyo as part of “La Folle Journée” classical music festival, they make their own debut in Singapore with a programme of French chamber music, featuring Debussy’s string quartet.

Chamber Music and Arts Singapore returns this 14 May to Esplanade with this new programme design for our popular series The Glasshouse comes ALIVE! — where preschoolers will join musicians from the award-winning Quatuor Elmire and our children’s theatre artist for LIVE classical chamber music by Debussy, story-telling, interactive activities as well as a mini art-workshop, all accompanied by lightly animated-illustrated stories from The Glasshouse.
