Quatuor Modigliani

1826 Beethoven’s Penultimate Year

DESCRIPTION

In 1826, Beethoven’s penultimate year, the German composer completed his final major works, including some of his greatest string quartets. These late-period masterpieces are  renowned for their profound emotional depth, innovative structures, and intense, complex, yet intimate musical language.

Two centuries later, the Paris-based Quatuor Modigliani revisits Beethoven’s cornerstones works of the classical chamber music repertoire, through a triptych of evening concerts

Founded in 2003, Quatuor Modigliani is recognised as one of today’s most sought-after quartets, featured regularly in prominent international series and on the world’s most prestigious stages. The quartet plays on four outstanding Italian instruments, from the 17th and 18th centuries.
