The 2021 International French School graduation ceremony took place on 1 July with students and teachers on campus and their parents watching online. Despite this hybrid format, this joyous and momentous occasion for IFS graduates marked an important passage into the next phase of their young adult lives.
His Excellency Mr Marc Abensour, Ambassador of France to Singapore, opened proceedings with his congratulatory remarks: “The performance of IFS high school students is again excellent this year, with a 100% pass rate and the proportion of distinctions at 96%, is up three points from 2020 and five points from 2019… the proportion of “Très Bien” distinctions… remain at an excellent level and above average for the Asia-Pacific region, confirming that IFS remains one of the best French high schools in the region.”
The French Baccalauréat (popularly referred to as the ‘Bac’) is the diploma that marks the completion of the French Lycée (High School) programme and follows the curriculum guidelines established by the French Ministry of Education. The French Bac is widely recognised worldwide and provides IFS students with a pathway to the top universities of their choice. The achievements of the Class of 2021 continues to confirm IFS’s deserved position as one of the top academic institutions within the AEFE network and a top international school of choice in Singapore.
In addition, the International French School celebrates their 178 students from 9th grade for a 100% success rate for their Diplôme National du Brevet with a 20% increase of First Class Honours from last year!
