FRANCE ALUMNI SINGAPORE LECTURE SERIES – LEARNING… THE FRENCH WAY BY DR DANIEL CHAN

Join the seventh France Alumni Singapore Lecture titled “Learning… the French Way” by Daniel Chan on 24 August 2022 at 6:30PM to be held online and at the Embassy of France.
The France Alumni Singapore Lecture Series, presented by the Embassy of France in Singapore with French Alumni Singapore, is given by eminent personalities in Singapore who studied in France, to put the spotlight on how an overseas education, notably in France, influenced their chosen career path. Each lecture is anchored by a prominent alumni member and followed after by a Q&A session.
Dr Daniel Chan, currently Deputy Director of the Center for Language Studies, received his teacher training at the National Institute of Education, and his previous teaching stints as a French language teacher include those at the MOE Language Centre, St Francis Methodist Secondary and Alliance Française de Singapour.
He held the position of Language Services Coordinator during the 1st Youth Olympic Games (2010) where he helped to manage Youth Interpreters for non-English speaking youth athletes. He has himself received accreditation by the French Embassy in Singapore as a certified translator-interpreter.
The lecture is moderated and hosted by French alumni members Dr. Imran Hashim, author of the novel Annabelle Thong and Dr. Sylvie Kwok, Senior Member of Technical Staff at DSO National Laboratories respectively.
