Join the sixth France Alumni Singapore Lecture titled “The Road Not Taken – Exploring, Adapting and Learning” by Vigneswaran Sellakannu on 12 April 2022 at 6:30PM to be held online and atthe Embassy of France
The France Alumni Singapore Lecture Series, presented by the Embassy of France in Singapore with French Alumni Singapore, is given by eminent personalities in Singapore who studied in France, to put the spotlight on how an overseas education, notably in France, influenced their chosen career path. Each lecture is anchored by a prominent alumni member and followed after by a Q&A session.
Vigneswaran Sellakannu – Vignes as he is more popularly known – was trained as an electronics engineer specializing in mobile radio systems at the Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris, France. He graduated in 2002 and has the ignominious reputation of only ever spending six months of his professional life as an engineer, succeeding nonetheless in transmitting an excerpt of movie “The World Is Not Enough” over a then developmental 3G network.
In August 2021, Vignes rejoined the French fold and is now working on electric vehicle charging operations development for TotalEnergies in Singapore. His ambition today is to overcome travel restrictions and devour a “galette complète” on a rock overlooking the Phare de Mean Ruz.
The lecture is moderated and hosted by French alumni members Dr. Daniel Chan, Deputy Director of the Centre for Language Studies at the National University of Singapore and Dr. Sylvie Kwok, Senior Member of Technical Staff at DSO National Laboratories respectively.
