The Energy Observer project was born in 2013 from the commitment of Victorien Erussard, merchant navy officer and ocean racer. Aware that it is now vital to commit to saving the planet, he assembled a complementary team of sailors, scientists, engineers and reporters in order to create the first self-sufficient vessel capable of drawing its energy from nature whilst also preserving it.
The dream became a reality 4 years later, when the Energy Observer ship was launched for the first time.
Energy Observer conducts a stopover in Singapore from 10 to 20 March 2022, the only port-of-call with the exhibition village in Asia of the 6th season of its round-the-world expedition.
Energy Observer meets exactly the ambitious targets of the cooperation agreement for the future of maritime transport signed in April 2021 between France and Singapore. This unique vessel is also featured in this year’s Francophonie Festival, in line with other programmes fitting with the sustainability theme.
The vessel sets up its exhibition pavilion at One*15 Marina Sentosa Cove, near the docked vessel.
Public viewing is available on 19 and 20 March. Please make your booking here.
