THE SAIL GRAND PRIX IN SINGAPORE

Set to take place on the waters of Parkland Green at East Coast Park, the inaugural Singapore Sail Grand Prix will feature nine international teams who will be sailing F50 catamarans at highway speed over 100km/h. Happening on January 14 and 15, this will be the eighth leg of an eleven-stop global championship and SailGP’s first-ever event in Asia.

The racing fleet boasts of some of the most successful sailors in history including multiple Olympic medallists and World Champions. The lineup for Singapore includes The France SailGP Team, preparing for a new chapter after the appointment of Driver Quentin Delapierre, who joined midway through Season 2 fresh from the Tokyo Olympic Games. Delapierre, whose career also boasts wins in the Tour de France à la Voile, is equipped with a seasoned crew boasting America’s Cup experience. Now, Delapierre has his eyes on the podium and is preparing his crew to meet the challenges of the Championship, both on and off the water.

Spectators can enjoy a wide range of ticketed spectator experiences both on and off-water. This includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the SailGP Team Bases and the opportunity to witness the high speed, adrenaline-pumping races in a chic lounge setting right on the beachfront as part of a newly introduced ticket category – SailGP Beach Club.
