The Director of Sciences Po, Mr Mathias Vicherat, and the President of Université Paris-Cité, Prof Christine Clérici, visited Singapore from 3 to 5 July 2022 to renew and sign several agreements relating to exchange of students and double degree programmes with the National University of Singapore (NUS):
- An agreement between Université Paris-Cité and NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine relating to the renewal of the student mobility agreement signed in 2017,
- An agreement between Université Paris-Cité and the NUS Graduate School on doctoral mobility,
- An agreement in the form of an addendum to the exchange agreement between Sciences Po and NUS relating to Master’s level student mobility with the Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy.
These three agreements were signed on 4 July 2022 with Prof Tan Eng Chye, President of the National University of Singapore, and with the presence of HE Mr Marc Abensour, Ambassador of France to Singapore.
The double-degree programme between Sciences Po and NUS University Scholar Programme was also renewed on 5 July with the new NUS College. NUS also offers a double degree with Université Paris-Cité.
During his stay in Singapore, Mr Mathias Vicherat met Mr Lee Tzu Yang, Chairman, Public Service Commission, had a dialogue session with high school students from Hwa Chong Institution and met around thirty Sciences Po alumni.
For the Université Paris-Cité delegation, its presence in Singapore was also an opportunity for meetings with CNRS@CREATE, A*STAR management team, representatives of French Lab Singapore, the community of French researchers based in Singapore, and several alumni of Université Paris-Cité.
In 2016, Université Paris Cité had chosen to position a permanent regional representative in Singapore, as part of its policy to strengthen its academic and scientific partnership with Singapore and ASEAN.
