The 2022 Merlion Call for Applications is opened from 1 June to 3 September 2021. The programme aims to create and strengthen scientific cooperation between France and Singapore. Researchers working or intending to work on French-Singaporean projects and workshops are invited to submit their proposals by the deadline.
This programme was created in 2006 and is supported by the Embassy of France in Singapore and various Singaporean partners, namely, National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR),
The Merlion programme is co-funded in Singapore by the Singaporean partner institutions and in France by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). The grant given to the French side is not intended to support the research work itself but will enable the implementation of international cooperation such as exchanges or visits, thus mainly for logistical purposes.
