ANNECY : ANIMATION CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival (11-16 June 2018) exists since 1960 and the most important animation festival in the world. It takes place in June every year. In 2017, there were in the Festival 115 000 admissions, 230 selected films and more than 500 screened films.
It is a competition which awards the best films by categories : feature films, short films, films produced for television and advertising, student films, films made for the internet.  The competition gives them a high level of visibility. 29 prizes are awarded.

The MIFA (International Animation Film Market) takes place simultaneously. This is when producers come to look for new talents and distributors for new contents. 87 countries have now their own booth in Annecy.

Animation du Monde Call for Projects : This call for projects is about helping young talents by inviting them to a scriptwriting’s workshop and to a public presentation of their projects during Mifa’s pitches and by supporting them in finding funds, partnership or coproduction opportunities
