Ranked as the world’s leading school of animation, GOBELINS Paris offers a complete curriculum from Bachelor to Master of Arts in both English and French with double degree as well as a one-year preparatory programme. This first collaboration with the ArtScience museum will showcase two animation films by their students during the Festival of Technology and Innovation, organised in partnership with Ethereum Singapore.
The festival, taking place from 1 to 30 September, will explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain and other emerging technologies, bridging collective consciousness and individual creativity. It will showcase works from an assembly of new media artists, challenging conventional notions of art by leveraging digital technologies and hoping to ignite discussion on the role of data – an ever-evolving facet of human expression in a world where creativity is fuel of innovation and progress.
Featuring traditionally animated and handcrafted films from artists and student works from GOBELINS Paris alongside Runway AI Film Festival’s recent generative AI selections, creative nuances are put under the microscope to measure the aesthetic impact of process and effect. Is AI truly the death of craft and genius, or is it just another creative tool in this new technological era?
