Recently, she worked on the The ‘Vivre avec / Living with’ exhibition, presented for the French Pavilion of the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (2025 edition), in the heart of the Giardini, aims to demonstrate that architecture can not only survive in a world in crisis, but also actively contribute to its adaptation. Together with her team, Dominique Jakob is examining a number of themes through the same prism: living with … what already exists; proximity; the damaged; vulnerability; nature and the living; and combined intelligence.
Dominique Jakob graduated from the École d’Architecture Paris-Villemin (1991) after receiving a degree in art history from the Université de Paris I (1990). She taught at the Paris-Villemin and Paris-Malaquais School of Architecture from 1994 to 2004, at the Special School of Architecture, and at the Los Angeles Southern California Institute of Architecture in 2018. She was named Woman Architect of the Year in 2019 by the ARVHA. She has been a full member of the French Academy of Architecture since 2016.
