French designer matali crasset: documentary screening and Q&A session

matali crasset, a French designer with an international reputation, tells about herself in the documentary “matali crasset, playful and political design”.

Directed by Rémy Batteault and produced by Cocottesminute in co-production with Centre Pompidou for the Influences collection, France 5, the film gives matali crasset the floor to express her origins, her early days working in Paris, her influences and her iconic objects that often erase the borders between design and contemporary art.

The documentary is dubbed in English. It will be followed by an hour of questions & answers in the presence of matali crasset.

Having previously worked in Singapore with Thomson Multimedia and then with the National Museum to “create one of Singapore’s first art installations commissioned specifically for families with toddlers”, named ” Dynamic Lines of Our Nest”, matali crasset impregnate her artwork in design with “Singapore’s multicultural identity”.
