FRENCH & SINGAPOREAN SCHOOLS OF ANIMATION

French Singapore Schools Header

A French delegation composed of animation sector professionals has been invited to Singapore in January 2018 for an explorative mission in the region. The main objectives of this mission were to identify talents for the competitive selection of Annecy Film Festival, to facilitate exchange of students and professors between schools and to identify coproduction possibilities between both countries’ studios.

Atelier de Sèvres (Paris) – Atelier supérieur d’animation (in French): a 3 years’ higher education for students who want to become author-director of animation films and artworks.

Ecole Emile Cohl (Lyon) – 2D/3D computer graphics / Video games / Animation films: an art school which focuses particularly on drawing skills.

Nanyang Technological UniversitySchool of Art, Design and Media (Digital Animation) : this program focuses on animation in all its forms. Designed to provide students with the fundamentals of the art and the craft. Areas of concentration within the curriculum include 2D hand-drawn animation, 3D character animation, stop-motion, experimental animation and creative visual effects.

Lasalle College of the ArtsBA(Hons) Animation Art Programme : This program provides students with the necessary skills, knowledge and learning opportunities for the conceptualization, development and production of animated short films.
