On the occasion of the 2025 Festival de la Francophonie, Hai-Anh will present her book Sông at the Alliance Française on Saturday, March 1st, at 4 PM.
Hai-Anh is a French-Vietnamese author and the writer of the graphic novel Sông. In this work, she shares the stories and testimonies exchanged with her mother, who, as a young woman during the Vietnam War, lived in the maquis alongside communist Vietnamese revolutionaries. Shifting between past and present, Hai-Anh recounts her mother’s daily life in the maquis and how she developed a love for cinema.
