Tian is twelve years old when he is sent to his grandmother’s due to his poor school results. Far from the city, in the mysterious Chinese mountains, he secretly becomes friend with a panda he names Moon. This marks the beginning of an incredible adventure that is about to change his life and that of his family.
Filmed entirely on location in China, Moon the Panda features a real panda and breathtaking mountain landscapes. The filmmakers relied solely on natural interactions—without special effects or CGI—bringing an authentic sense of wonder and realism to Tian’s extraordinary journey.
