For the second stop on its global journey after France, Louis Vuitton’s exhibition showcasing the imaginative trunks created by 200 visionaries touches down in Singapore taking over the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza. As a vast and dynamic tribute to the Maison’s innovative legacy, “200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition” is one of the initiatives celebrating the 200th anniversary of Louis Vuitton’s birth.

A mosaic of talents and friends of the house were invited to personalise a metaphorical blank canvas measuring approximately the same dimensions of the original trunk that Louis Vuitton conceived in the 1850s, as per Marc Jacobs, Peter Marino, Supreme, Fornasetti, BTS, Lego, Cao Fei.

The project remains at its core a philanthropic undertaking that has already raised €2 million, thanks to the visionaries directing their entire fee to 15 charitable organisations across 13 countries that are focused on uplifting young people from disadvantaged communities through creativity and the arts. At the end of the global tour, in December 2022, the trunks will be put up for auction by Sotheby’s with all proceeds benefiting a scholarship program that aims to bridge inequality gaps.

Amidst this diverse panorama, there is Monsieur Louis, the robot-trunk, a futuristic transfiguration, displaying digital pieces. Objects and animations are surrounded by immersive spaces.

The inclusive and immersive experience takes place at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza, 10 Bayfront Avenue, from 4 April to 27 April2 022, 10am to 10pm.

The exhibition is free of charge. To register, visit ap.louisvuitton.com
