Prepare for an evening where civility collapses in hilarious and unexpected ways, because God of Carnage, the internationally acclaimed dark comedy by French playwright Yasmina Reza, is coming to The Ngee Ann Kongsi Theatre @ Funan from 20 to 29 March 2026.
Presented by Nine Years Theatre, this production begins with a seemingly civil meeting between two pairs of parents who have gathered to resolve a playground scuffle between their sons. What starts as polite discussion soon spirals into chaos, candour and comic catastrophe, exposing how thin the veneer of adult decorum truly is.
Winner of both the Tony Award and the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Play, God of Carnage has enjoyed global success on stages from New York to London and continues to be celebrated for its incisive wit and biting satire.
Directed by award-winning director Nelson Chia, this Singapore staging features a powerhouse ensemble cast, whose performances bring every crack in politeness and eruption of temper vividly to life.
