Kahchun Wong who conducted the Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France for a unique and innovative concert on the occasion of the Finale of the 2020 edition of vOilah! France Singapore Festival will be in Toulouse on 30 January for an online concert with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse (ONCT).
Despite the impact of the Covid-19 on cultural activities, the National Capitol Orchestra of Toulouse continues to keep the music alive. For its first appearance, the orchestra invites Singaporean conductor Kahchun Wong to play Mahler’s Symphony No. 5. A work that was sublimated by Italian filmmaker Luchino Visconti in his twilight adaptation of Death in Venice.
The concert will be broadcasted live on the Facebook page of the ONCT and the Toulouse City Hall as well as on YouTube on Sunday 31 January at 1 am SGT. The concert will remain available until 15 March 2021.
