Paris Opera Ballet came last June to Da:ns series 2019 at Esplanade, presenting a triple bill including Blake Works Iby William Forsythe, In the Nightby Jerome Robbins and The Seasons’ Canonby Crystal Pite.
In an effort to bring ballets and operas closer to the wider audience during these hard times, the Paris Opera proposes to watch full-length masterpieces online for free. Revive the deep emotions felt on Seasons’ Canonby discovering Crystal Pite’s latest work with the Ballet presented last November 2019, Body and Soul, or revisit the classics Cinderella (2018-2019) or Giselle, which was just presented at the iconic Palais Garnier in January and February 2020 right before the lockdown.
Some operas are also available such as Carmen, Bastien et Bastienne, and Les Indes galantes.

In a solidarity message addressed to the health workers on the frontlines of the pandemic, the dancers of the Ballet said a heartfelt thank you from the safety of their homes. This video has been directed by movie director Cédric Klapisch who came to Singapore for the 2017 edition of the French Film Festival in November 2017.
