The Singaporean musical theatre company Sing’theatre is streaming their tribute work to Edith Piaf’s enduring love for life, La Vie en Rose, from 29 May 8pm to 14 June 2020.
Staged at the iconic Victoria Theatre in May 2015 with the support of the Embassy of France in Singapore to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Edith Piaf’s birth, this 90-minutes concert is a showcase of Edith Piaf classic hits reinterpreted into contemporary genres.
Dream Academy Artists Sebastian Tan, Rani Singam, Lim Kay Siu, Linden Furnell, Robin Goh, Leandra lane and LA Benjamin put their own personal spin on Piaf’s timeless songs. In a surprising take, these performers drew on their own life experiences to reinterpret her classic songs with contemporary genres. From jazz and pop to classic, rock and latin, the audience has the chance to discover all-new renditions of her songs, now available for streaming online!
