Once Upon A Song Copie 724x302

Once Upon A Song is a new web series launched by What The France. Created in 2017, What The France is a communication platform led by Bureau Export, the French music export association. The website aims at broadcasting playlists, and creating branded events to present the most trending music coming out of the French music scene.

Once Upon A Song is another way of listening to the French repertoire. Telling the story of how a song is written is an opportunity to capture what it takes to create a unique artwork. The first episode presents the world famous track “My Way” / “Comme d’habitude”. Since being recorded by Frank Sinatra on New Year’s Eve 1968, “My Way” has become the most recorded song in history. But many people don’t know that this international standard was in fact originally a hit in France, “Comme d’habitude”, released in 1967 by Claude François, who co-signed the lyrics with Gilles Thibault on a composition by Jacques Revaux.
