AS PART OF SINGAPORE WRITERS FESTIVAL
With COVID-19, most things have moved online. What does this mean for comic artists who have been creating web or digital comics even before the crisis? How have they changed to stand up in an increasingly crowded digital space?
Join Marietta Ren, a Paris-based artist, in an online panel discussion with the Singapore Writers Festival alongside Erica Eng, Bonni Rambatan and moderated by Lim Cheng Tju to explore the future of digital comics. The online panel discussion will be the occasion to explore her work, Phallaina, a stunning scrolling graphic novel about one girl’s personal transformation, combined with aspects of cognitive sciences and mythology.
Phallaina, designed for tactile screens, is available on all platforms to download for free on a smartphone and experience a new immersive motion comic with music, sound design and parallax.
