GROUP EXHIBITION BY EDDIE BOTHA, EMI AVORA, CHRISTIAN LUKEY, GILLES MASSOT, ANDY YANG
Oh My Island in the Sun is a group exhibition by Eddie Botha, Emi Avora, Christian Lukey, Gilles Massot, Andy Yang.
It encompasses a selection of paintings and photographs inspired by and celebrating Singapore’s identity through artists’ eyes. These artworks have in common to transcend ordinary observation into something extraordinary.
Taking place in Kinloss House, a genuine art deco architecture landmark, which hosts the EHL Campus (Singapore), this exhibition is a unique opportunity for the public to discover an exceptional heritage building.
The selection of artworks by Gilles Massot, a French artist and academic who lived and worked in Singapore for forty years, is a perfect example of the longstanding cultural ties between France and Singapore. As a matter of fact, through his artistic practice and teaching at LASALLE College of the Arts, Gilles Massot had a significant contribution to the local art scene.
